QUICK FIX BUTYL TAPE
LAPSEAL
If you are feeling particularly energetic, undo your fasteners, lift the sheets and apply strips of 8mm x 3mm Butyl tape to the edges to ensure a watertight seal.
If sheets are slightly uneven, it may be better to use 8mm diameter (round profile) piece of Butyl tape to compensate for the gap. A round profile flattens out to allow for any unevenness in the sheets. Butyl Tape is perfect to use on galvanized sheeting, poly-carbonate sheeting and most other types if roof sheets
STICK AND PASTE
A great benefit of this method is that it can last many years. Butyl tape is fully paintable and can therefore blend in with exciting sheets.
Butyl is 100% UV protected, so even if the tape is not painted over, it will still last many years.
For a quick and long-lasting solution to a leaking roofing sheet, use 25mm x 3mm strip of Butyl Tape along the joint without having to loosen or lift it
FASTENER SEAL
Fasteners can leak and become loose over time. A patch of Butyl Tape is all it takes, once the fastener has been replaced or tightened, to seal it permanently.
There is no better way to ensure that water does not leak through fasteners then Butyl Tape. This product will expand and contract with the sheets, ensuring a watertight bond
GUTTER SEAL
Permanently seal those annoying and continuous gutter joint drips. Whether you seal between the joints or simply stick the Butyl Tape over the joint, the solution will be permanent.
